A NOTE TO OUR GUESTS

ADDRESSING COVID-19

As public institutions come to terms with how best to address coronavirus (COVID-19) concerns, please know that your health and safety are our highest priority.

Team Sports Images will will temporarily close through the end of March to provide for a prudent level of social distancing during the Coronavirus outbreak.

For reference, here are some best practices for keeping yourself healthy and reducing the spread of coronavirus and other common illnesses:

  • Stay home when you are sick.

  • Wash your hands with soap and water often for at least 20 seconds.

  • Avoid touching your eyes, nose, and mouth.

  • Cover your nose and mouth with your elbow when coughing or sneezing, and dispose of tissues in the trash'.

  • Please Wear a Face Mask when you are unable to “Maintain” a 6 Foot distance from others.

Please stay informed through official sources, such as this dedicated
Washington State COVID-19 Dashboard.

We will continue to provide updates about Team Sports Images and our programs, and we look forward to welcoming you back to the field when conditions change.

Update 6/25/2020

As a small business owner and photographer, just like you I’m a bit uncertain about the coronavirus and its global impact. But I want to choose “Compassion over fear. Preparation over worry.” Will my business suffer this year? Yes, it already has. Will I be okay? Yes, I will. And I want you to be okay too.

Because of this, I’ve created a coronavirus action plan. My goal is to be understanding, easy-to-work-with, and flexible during all this COVID-19 chaos. I continue to operate my photography business with core values of honesty, transparency, and respect. Your health and well being are my absolute TOP priority. I want to help ease your minds going forward, so you have one less thing to worry about.

I will be even MORE flexible with you about cancellations and postponements than it states in my agreements. There are many unknowns right now due to COVID-19, and I want to help make photography one less stressful thing to worry about.

  • I will postpone as many sessions as possible during the “Stay at Home” order in Washington.

  • I will wash my hands thoroughly before every photo shoot and avoiding touching my face during sessions.

  • I’m not going to shake your hand or hug you when we meet.

  • I will not touch you, and I will keep a 6 ft distance during sessions at all times.

  • I will select an appropriate lens(s) that lets me stay a little further away.

  • I will wear a mask during sessions.

  • I will give you the option to meeting virtually via Skype, Teams/ Zoo, etc. instead of meeting in person.

  • I will be honest with you about my own health and my travel schedule. You will know where I’ve been to in the recent past.

  • I will minimize my personal exposure to large events, sick people, and crowded places as much as I can.

According to local guidelines, portrait shoots with a couple are allowed, so long as the photographer stays 6 feet away. The couple or clients themselves are allowed to break that 6-foot rule so long as they are members of the same household. It’s not recommended to have any other guests present. Many local wedding planners are asking all couples to postpone their weddings and photo shoots. See More Information from the State of Washington regarding Photography while in ‘Phase 2’

At this time, I may try to reschedule sessions or weddings during the “Stay at Home” order, if possible. I understand that not everyone has the option to reschedule, so I am doing my best to work with every client on a case by case basis. But if it is possible to reschedule, I highly recommend it.

Finally, I want to make a note about my photography style and lens choices. Since I am legally required to maintain a 6 ft distance during sessions and weddings, I will not be able to capture images in the same way as some of my portfolios show. I frequently use a wide lens for close-up portraits and I simply can’t do that at this time. Please be understanding and realize that my images may look a little different during these current times.

For some photo shoots, I will be recommending ‘event insurance’ Please check to see if your insurance covers anything impacted by public health concerns like COVID-19. It’s good to know in beforehand.

We’re all in this together. We are all a little worried. We are all effected economically and worried about loved ones getting sick.
Be kind. Be understanding.

Stay Healthy Washington!
